Chapter 1925
Meanwhile, inside the pantry of Landry Mansion, Charlotte crossed her arms at her chest and pointed at the boiling kettle of water on the stove. “Get that for me. Don’t you know you’re supposed to be making tea for our guests?”
Gwen, still wearing her cap and mask, furrowed her brows when she heard this.
Despite being a little annoyed at the treatment she was given, she knew fully well that Charlotte was treating her this way because she had mistaken her for Bonnie.
She wanted to find out what this woman was planning to do to Bonnie!
As soon as she thought of this, Gwen ambled over and slowly extended her arm to pick up the boiling kettle from the stove.
However, as soon as her hand touched the handle, Charlotte gave her a hard shove in the back, sending Gwen’s entire body propelling toward the burning hot stovetop.
Unable to stop in time, Gwen grabbed hold of the edge of the stove with one hand while the other slammed into the hot kettle.
A bloodcurdling scream rang out from inside the pantry, followed by the pungent smell of something burning –
Luke, who had sprinted all the way to the pantry, felt as though his brain had exploded at the sound of Gwen’s scream.
He stormed into the room like a madman, shoved Charlotte aside, and grabbed hold of Gwen’s hand. “Are you okay?”
Gwen was in so much pain that she could not speak, and instead, she shook her head nonstop, trying to signal to Luke that she was fine.
Luke was heartbroken at this sight.
He stared at Gwen’s blistered hand and yelled, “I’ve already told you not to come with Luna today, but you insisted on coming, and not only that, but you insisted on playing this disguise game with Bonnie! Now look at what happened!
“Not only had Bonnie gotten hurt, but now you have, too!”
Gwen slumped weakly in his arms, her entire face as pale as a ghost, and said with a small
smile, “If it weren’t for me, Bonnie will probably be hurt even more now. Besides, I’m still healthy, whereas Bonnie…”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
