Chapter 2017
However, Bonnie was different.
She and Bonnie shared the same enemy, which
was Charlotte.
Besides, as long as she held the truth about Bonnie’s child close to her, Bonnie would surely
do anything to protect her.
Therefore, as long as she sought shelter with Bonnie, Charlotte would not dare harm her!
On the one hand, because Bonnie was with the children, Charlotte would have to think twice before attempting to hurt them.
On the other hand, there was only a small door separating the house from the main building of Landry Mansion, and she only had to shout for Jim to hear them from the main building should
Charlotte try to harm her.
Charlotte would never risk exposing her identity
to get rid of a little pawn like her.
Bonnie furrowed her brows and contemplated this for a minute, then finally nodded. “As long as you promise me you’ll never stay in touch with Charlotte again or help her do anything, I can offer you one of the empty rooms to stay in.”
“Don’t worry.” Roane curled her lips into a self deprecating smirk. “She’s treated me like a dog long enough; it’s about time I learn to be a
human.”
With that, she let out an exhale and brought her
suitcase into one of the empty rooms without
hesitation.
Bonnie furrowed her brows as she watched Roanne enter, and after giving Sean a few words of caution, she returned to her room to continue
feeding Shelly.
Little did she know, Jim had witnessed her entire
conversation with Roanne in the garden.
He had not been spying on them on purpose; he had gone out onto the second-floor balcony to get some fresh air after receiving a disturbing call
from his office.
However, while he was out on the balcony, he caught sight of Roanne going into Bonnie’s yard
after leaving Landry Mansion.
Jim had been on the phone at that time, so he could only sneak some glances at them in
between snippets of conversation.
Even just by the vague snippets of their voices, he could make out what Roanne had been telling
Bonnie.
Bonnie had a son whom she was trying to find, but he did not manage to overhear what she said

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
