Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isn’t Easy chapter 2024
Charlotte froze when she heard Jim’s voice ring out from behind her. She put down the phone, regained her composure, and lifted her head to glance at him. “What are you talking about, Jim?”
There was a twinge of hurt on her face. “Do you think I lied to you?”
She bit her lip as tears slid down her cheeks. Staring at him, she spoke, sounding like she was choked with tears, “Jim, I narrowly escaped death when giving birth to Shelly, but for some reason, you think I’m lying to you and that I’m not Shelly’s birth mother at all. Is that what you think after all?”
Tears brimmed in her eyes as she asked, “What did you hear from other people? You’re right, I don’t appear to be at all concerned about Shelly as I should’ve, but this is all your fault, isn’t it?”
She lifted her head to fixate her tearful gaze on Jim’s face and whimpered, “When Shelly was born, you forbade me from seeing her because you were worried I wouldn’t be able to take good care of her.
“Not only that, but as soon as she was born, you told me to leave Merchant City and handed her over to Christopher to look after her.
“You told me that Christopher is a doctor, and he also has experience taking care of his daughter, so you’d feel more reassured to have him take care of Shelly.
“After that, Christopher brought Shelly with him when he flew to Banyan City to find Bonnie, and…”
She sniffed and said with a sorrowful look, “Bonnie was the one who had come up with Shelly’s name, and as her birth mother, I couldn’t help but be devastated by all this.
“She’s my daughter, but for some reason, Bonnie was given all the credit! How do you think I feel? Also,”
She let out an exhale and added, “You’re suspecting that I’m not Shelly’s mother based on the way I behaved toward her yesterday, right?”
She wiped her tears and sniffed, “Well, you’re wrong. From the moment Shelly was born, I had never been given a chance to bond with her, and because of this, I can’t help feeling distanced from my own daughter…
“Maybe you’re right; maybe it was my fault. I shouldn’t have neglected her just because
I never had the chance to bond with her.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
