Chapter 2059
Because of this, Charlotte had no choice but to feign sorrow and guilt so that Jim would believe her if she claimed that Shelly’s death was an accident.
However, no matter how thought out her plan was, Jim could see right through her.
He furrowed his brows and removed her hand from his shirt coldly. “Charlotte , I don’t care what you think; there’s only one thing I have to say to you.
“Roanne had kidnapped Shelly because of you, and you volunteered to save Shelly today. If anything happens to her, our relationship will end right here. Do you understand?”
Jim’s cold voice and even colder attitude made Charlotte’s heart sink.
“Remember what you said.” Jim did not intend to waste any more of his time talking to her and instead stood up. “There are only two hours left, so you’d better get ready now.”
Charlotte bit her lip as she slumped onto the ground limply. As she watched him leave, the regret and sorrow in her eyes were gradually replaced with malice.
What went wrong?
Jim clung to her every word just days ago. She was everything to him and the only person that mattered
Had the drug’s effects worn off?
Or had Roanne plotted this since the start and did not feed Jim all of the medicine because she had been devising her betrayal since the beginning?
Jim furrowed his brows when he noticed that Charlotte did not move and immediately turned to glance at her. As he did so, his gaze met her cold, malicious stare.
He furrowed his brows as surprise flashed across his face.
He had never seen Charlotte look so cruel before.
How could the kind, honest girl he knew suddenly become such a deceitful, cruel person?
Had she changed, or had he never known her at all?
Charlotte bit her lip when she noticed Jim staring at her, then quickly turned her head away and stood up. “Alright. I’ll go get prepared now.”
Then, without giving Jim another glance, she turned and walked away.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
