Chapter 2117
The doctor lifted his head to glance at Bonnie.
“You should get a friend to go with you.” Bonnie nodded and was about to say something when her phone, which was charging next to her bed, rang.
She quickly picked up the call.
“Luna?” “What’s wrong, Bonnie?” Luna’s voice was riddled with concern.
“Joshua, Nigel, and I were on a video call with Nellie and Nigel in the bedroom, and we both left our phones in the study.
We were so engrossed in our call that none of us heard you call.
Is…something wrong?”
Bonnie rubbed her brows in frustration.
She should have known.
The fact that neither Joshua nor Luna could be reached meant that they were probably doing something together, but she never thought of the possibility of them being on a family video call together.
“It’s settled now.” Bonnie sighed.
“Nothing much, just that I almost died, that’s all.” Luna let out a gasp, then asked, “What happened? Did my brother do something bad to you? When you told me about how nervous you were to meet my parents, I had specifically warned them to be nice to you… Did my brother get on your nerves again?” Bonnie rubbed her brows in exhaustion when she heard Luna’s worried tone.
“I guess you can say so, but now’s not the time to talk about this…” She let out a sigh.
“Of course I am, but…”
She paused for a moment before finally saying, “Didn’t you just say you almost died, Bonnie? If so, where are you headed now? Are you asking me to bring you to Jim so you can get revenge on him?”
“I have much better things to take care of than that.” Bonnie sighed and explained what had happened, including what she had overheard of Sean and Nikki’s conversation, to Luna.
“If anything were to happen to Nikki, it’ll be my fault.
“If Sean hadn’t come to save me, he wouldn’t have left Nikki alone…
“I need to know she’s fine.”
Luna nodded.
I’ll go pick you up from the hospital right now!”
Sean had sped home as fast as his car could take him, and he sprinted into the house as soon as the car screeched to a halt.
“Nikki!”
At this moment, the entire house was silent.
When Sean stormed inside, a haggard-looking Nikki was standing on top of a chair, holding a piece of rope that had been looped over a roof beam.
She let out a bitter chuckle when she saw Sean.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
