Chapter 2149
At the same time, Jim was not fully conscious, either.
If he had been fully conscious, he would not have asked the driver to bring him to Tea Cottage, nor would he have said all those things to Bonnie.
Truth be told, he had shocked himself when he pulled Bonnie into his arms.
It was as though…there was a signal in his mind and body compelling him to do so.
He did not even know why he had done that. He had felt as though there was another version of himself trapped inside him, ordering him to find Bonnie and propose to her.
As soon as he thought of this, Jim closed his eyes and let out an exhale, then gently knocked on his forehead.
Could Christopher have been telling the truth? Had he and Bonnie been in love before he lost his memories? Could he have forgotten Bonnie because she mattered too much to him? This sudden realization made Jim frown and pursed his lips in deep thought.
A split second later, he shook his head.
Maybe it was just the alcohol playing tricks on his mind. He…he would never have fallen for Bonnie, even in the past. After a long time, Bonnie finally finished cooking.
She brought out a bowl of soup from the kitchen and placed it in front of Jim. “Drink it. As soon as you’re done, you should go home.
“This isn’t a place where your presence is welcome, so you’re not allowed to spend the night here.
“You have your own house, so you should go back there.”
Then, she stood up and made her way toward the stairs. She had just taken two steps when suddenly, she turned around as though something had occurred to her.
“Jim, I don’t know if you’ll remember how you got here or what you did to me when you wake up tomorrow, so let me tell you this.
“It’d be great if you remember nothing, but if you do, you should pretend this is all just a dream. I won’t hold your actions against you, so you shouldn’t do the same to me. From today onward, we’re going our separate ways.”
Then, she turned and disappeared up the stairs. Jim curled his lips into a smile as he watched her leave, still poised on the sofa.
A split second later, he lowered his head to stare at the bowl of soup before him, his smile still hanging on his lips.
He could not believe that Bonnie knew how to cook. Judging from how quickly she had prepared this, she was adept at this.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
