Chapter 2157
Harvey then handed the civil rights officer a blank piece of paper and pen.
“Sir, can you please write an unofficial certificate of marriage for my Uncle Theo? Even though it won’t be legally recognized, I’m sure he can still accept it.” Everyone in the room froze upon hearing this.
Bonnie understood what Harvey was trying to do and immediately glanced at Theo.
“Theo, you’re not a kid anymore, and you should know if the civil rights officer tells you he can’t do this for you, he means it.
If he’s willing to write you a marriage certificate right now, at least it’ll be something, right?” Theo froze for a moment, contemplating this, then nodded reluctantly, like a child who had to give in to an undesirable request.
The civil rights officer had no choice but to do as Bonnie and Harvey said and scribbled a’ marriage certificate’ for him, even drawing a fake stamp to add to its credibility.
Theo held this certificate close to him, like a newly obtained treasure, and muttered, “Roanne … I’ve finally fulfilled your wish.
From today onward, you’re my wife… You can finally rest in peace now…”
Bonnie let out a sigh, staring at this crazed man, and escorted him out of the building like a child together with Harvey.
However, to their surprise, Rachel had not left yet.
At that moment, she was standing at the curb, calling someone on her phone repeatedly while glancing at her phone once in a while, as though she was waiting for someone to pick her up.
Bonnie furrowed her brows and was about to approach her when a silver sports car screeched to a halt in front of her.
The window was lowered, exposing a man’s handsome face.
“Dr.
Liddell, what made you change your mind and agree to the date my grandfather set up?” This man… Bonnie remembered him; he was Caleb Crawford, the wealthiest man in Lincoln City and heir to the Crawford family fortune.
At one point, Luna had been tricked by Heather into going on a blind date with this man, but to everyone’s surprise…not only had Caleb and Luna hit it off in a platonic way, but in the end, he became close friends with Joshua, who was his competitor.
“What’s wrong? Did you change your mind about me?”
“What is there to change my mind about? To be able to marry such a beautiful, smart woman like you-a doctor, no less—is a blessing for both my family and me, so what is there for me
to change my mind about?” Caleb raised his brows teasingly at Rachel and added, “Where would you like to go for dinner tonight?”.
“Me and my exes used to play it a little more exciting; I’m scared you might not be able to take it…”
“There’s no such thing as that.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
