Chapter 2164
Jim chuckled when he heard this.
“I know I was blunt, but I’m just telling the truth, aren’t I?”
Then he strode over to Harvey’s side and gently stroked his hair in reassurance.
“After all, you’ve read so many crime thrillers that you probably know I’m right, so don’t get too wound up about your friend, okay?”
Harvey finally stopped crying upon hearing this.
He sniffed and bit his lip, staring at his father’s face, then said timidly, “Daddy… Was it very unmanly of me to cry like that?”
Jim chuckled “A real man cares about the people around him, so it’s okay to cry when you’re sad about losing someone important to you.
Don’t worry about that.”
For a split second, Bonnie could not help being reminded of the old Jim when she heard these words.
Jim’s kindness, consideration, and soft, gentle voice made a surge of warmth spread through her heart, even though this kindness was not directed at her.
She could not help remembering what Theo had said.
Theo had said that the old Jim would never be able to return, but was he right?
All of a sudden, Jim’s phone rang.
It was from his assistant, Coleman.
Jim glanced at the name on the screen, hesitated for a moment, then finally picked up the call and put it on speaker mode.
Coleman’s calm voice rang out from the other end of the line, “Sir, I’ve managed to track down the whereabouts of Dr.
Laura Suess as you asked me to.
“She first went to Tea Cottage, and after leaving, she went straight to a hotel, bringing a suitcase with her.
“She was in the hotel for about half an hour before finally leaving with a little boy, and then she drove to… Quinn Mansion.”
Jim furrowed his brows upon hearing this.
“A little boy? And they went to Quinn Mansion?”
Assistant Coleman nodded.
I thought it was strange too since the one with her was a young boy, but he wore a vintage-looking dress.
“Or at least, I thought it was a boy because, according to what I found, Dr.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
