Chapter 2185
However..
Bonnie had the same idea as Jim, too.
This unknown darkness that was before them could be the most dangerous thing they would ever face, so how could she possibly allow Jim to face it himself?
She still remembered…
When they met at the orphanage, Jim had told her before that he was secretly afraid of the dark.
During the past year they had been together, Bonnie would sometimes tease him for being afraid of the dark.
Even though her feelings toward Jim were more governed by disgust rather than love at this moment, it did not change the fact that the past Jim and the current Jim were the same people, so they shared the same fears.
As soon as she thought of this, she grew even more determined to go with him.
“If you don’t bring me along, I won’t let you go in there.”
A surge of warmth spread through Jim’s heart at the sound of this.
He turned to stare at Bonnie, whose eyes were etched with determination and worry.
He knew she was not throwing a tantrum or deliberately trying to challenge him, but she was truly concerned about his safety and wanted to face this danger with him.
As he gazed at Bonnie’s face, the image of Bonnie sitting in his lap with her arms around her neck, telling him that there was nothing to be afraid of in the dark, appeared in his mind.
In this scenario, Bonnie was wearing a red nightgown, and her hair spilled on her shoulders, making her look gentle and kind. She was staring at him with the same determined, concerned look and pressed a small kiss on his throat.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
