Bonnie could not help thinking that the knife Charlotte had used had not been clean, so she would not stop worrying until a doctor checked Jim’s wound.
Jim furrowed his brows but did not reply and instead allowed Bonnie and Gwen to take him out of the room.
After the three of them left, Luke glanced coldly at a pale-faced Quentin and said, “Mr. Simms, they’ve already given you the evidence you wanted.
“Even Charlotte herself admitted her true identity, and she even attempted to harm someone once again.
“With all this in mind, you must agree that Bonnie has won the bet, hasn’t she?” Quentin narrowed his eyes upon hearing this.
A glimmer of hatred flashed through his eyes as he glanced at Charlotte, who was being restrained by the guards. He should not have taken pity on her! He had known since the start that this daughter of his was utterly useless, yet he still took pity on her and tried to help her!
Not only had he failed to protect her, but their relationship was exposed, too!
Quentin’s stare was so cold and penetrating that Charlotte could not help lifting her head when she felt his gaze.
Their eyes met as she lifted her head, frowning, and glanced in his direction.
She curled her lips into a smirk and said, “Didn’t you say you’d protect me, Father? Didn’t you promise that you’d protect me at any cost?”
She burst into laughter and continued, “Well, you have no choice but to fulfill your end of the promise, Quentin. Otherwise…there’s no telling what I’d say to Joshua if I get taken away.”
It was clear that she was trying to threaten Quentin.

Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
