Silence blanketed the room after Luna's remark.
Joshua furrowed his brow silently.
Nonetheless, Jim smiled lightly and did not take Luna's words to heart.
"Regardless of what your intention was, you did help me, and I must thank you for that.Moreover..."
He looked at Bonnie, who was lying on the bed with her eyes shut tightly, and a helpless expression appeared on his face.
"You're her best friend. She adamantly protected the baby and even resolved to make a fake report just to keep that baby.Just because of my impulsiveness, however, she lost the baby.
"Your anger is warranted, and I deserved that slap; it's only right that I endured that.I only have myself t o blame."
After that, he looked at Luna and sighed heavily.
"Could you please tell me more about my relationship with Bonnie?"
Jim's request baffled Luna.
She gazed at the man before her and felt something was different about him, but she could not tell what it was.
Looking at how stunned Luna was, Jim—thinking she did not hear him the first time—patiently repeated himself, "Can you tell me about my relationship with Bonnie?"
This time, Luna heard very clearly what Jim said. She paused and looked at Jim curiously.
"You...Why would you suddenly want to know?"
Previously, Jim had never wanted to admit his relationship with Bonnie to the extent that he did not want anyone around him mentioning it to him.
If he could, he would probably want to wipe off that history and wanted to have nothing to do with Bonnie, as though they had never met each other.
All of a sudden, Jim requested Luna to tell him the details of their relationship.
Jim chuckled as he noticed how shocked Luna was.
"To be frank with you..."
He closed his eyes.
"When I found out that my mother didn't die as everyone thought, I was happy, though the pang of sadness was inevitable. She was afraid her memories would hurt her and didn't have the courage to face my father.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
