Chapter 2315
The sound of Sean's low, melodic voice made Kate blush even more. She bit her lip nervously and replied, This is a pastry brand I've been eating since I was young, and it's not from Merchant City, so you wouldn't know it."
With that, she let out an exhale and, out of impulse, wanted to toss the entire box to Sean. However, as soon as she turned around, she caught sight of his thickly bandaged hands.
Out of instinct, she opened the box once more, tore open another croissant, and then brought it to his mouth.
"Seeing that you're a relative of my boss' friend, I'll take care of you for the time being."
Sean chuckled when he caught sight of how uncomfortable she was.
"Thank you."
Despite the atmosphere being a little awkward yet laced with amorous disposition, Kate proceeded to unwrap all the croissants and feed them to Sean one at a time.
Even though Sean had accidentally brushed against Kate's fingers the first time around, he made sure to take good care not to touch her again.
This finally made Kate's racing heart calm down, and she began to scrutinize this man as she continued feeding him.He had a tall and lean figure, and his skin was darkly tanned. His sleeves were rolled up due to his injuries, which exposed his strong, muscular arms that hinted at the figure hidden underneath his shirt.
Not only that, but the tanned face...was handsome in a roguish, boisterous way.
Kate could not help being reminded of that man...
"Kate?"
Suddenly, a soft woman's voice rang out from the door.
Kate immediately came to and lifted her head in response.
Luke and Gwen were standing at the door, with Luke's arms wrapped protectively around her waist.
Their gazes fell simultaneously on Kate's hand, which was brandishing another croissant next to Sean's mouth.
Seeing that Kate was staring at her, Gwen smiled and said, "This is the first time I've ever seen you look after anyone; you look very kind and saintly."

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
