Luna could feel nothing but pain as she stared at Gwen's pale face.
Even though she could never understand Gwen's experience, she remembered how it had been like when she suffered backlash from the media, when they accused her of taking advantage of the Landry family fortune.
Even though the spectacle had lasted only a few days, it felt like she was put through hell.She could not imagine being in Gwen's shoes.
After all, she was certain that the words coming out of mobsters' mouths would not be any kinder.
How many unkind insults had Gwen heard throughout her life? Even though she seemed nonchalant about it, she must have gone through immense emotional turmoil at one point.
At the thought of this, Luna let out an exhale and said, "Alright.Gwennie, I promise to help you think of a way to escape Luke."
"That's what best friends are for."
The color gradually returned to Gwen's cheeks as her face lit up.
"I'm so grateful to hear you say that, Luna."
She could never escape Luke without anyone's help; the incident at the station was a prime example of that.
Therefore, she had no choice but to ask Luna and Joshua for help.
Luna let out a sigh and gripped Gwen's hand tightly in hers.
"My only hope is that...you'll be happier after leaving Luke."
However, deep down, Luna knew this was not possible.
Gwen loved Luke so much that she constantly put him before everything else, so how could she possibly be happy without him? However, considering the fact that they were miserable together, staying apart could be the better way out.

This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
