"I realized that even though the companies I owned outside of Landry Group were small, they brought in considerable income for me.
"I wanted to stand on my own feet by building my career while helping run Landry Group at the same time."
Charles narrowed his eyes and sneered upon hearing this.
"And why is that? Do you somehow think that Landry Group isn't good enough for you anymore?"
"Not at all."
Jim leaned against the back of his chair lazily and explained, "I just knew exactly where I stood.Even though Mother had always treated me as her own for many years, I knew full well that this wouldn't change the fact that I'm not her son, and that I don't have the right to inherit Landry Group.Therefore, no matter how hard I worked, none of this would be mine."
He curled his lips into a bitter smile.
"Initially, I thought Heather was your daughter, but unfortunately, she was not at all suitable to take over Landry Group, which was why I had been compelled to stay and run the company on her behalf.
"If this hadn't been the case, I would've left the company the moment my side businesses took off."
With that, he turned to glance meaningfully at Luna and added, "

This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....

Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....

And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
