Chapter 2390
"You don't have to blame yourself for what happened to Bonnie, Mother," Jim interrupted Rosalyn before she could even finish her sentence.
His gaze became distant as he continued, "I know that you were the one who produced the poison that landed Bonnie in this coma.
"Yesterday...I went to visit Nikki at the police station in secret, and she revealed that my mother Lucy had intended to use this poison to take her life.
"After coming out of the police station, I investigated the clinic from which Lucy got the poison, and I discovered that...the doctor who gave her the drug was a friend of yours."
He turned to stare at Rosalyn.
"You were the one who produced the drug, weren't you, Mother?"
He let out a bitter chuckle and added, "I should've guessed.Who else in Merchant City would be capable of producing such a lethal poison apart from you, Mother? "Still, you had no idea that the doctor had requested this poison from you on Lucy's behalf, and you didn't know that Lucy would have a change of heart and choose not to take it in the end...
"In a twist of fate, the poison ended up killing the woman I love the most.
"Perhaps this had been written in the stars; perhaps this was the price I had to pay in return for your many years of unconditional love."
Jim turned to stare at Rosalyn's pale face.
"However, I don't blame you.No matter what you did, you would do it with only good intentions, and I'm sure that when you first manufactured this drug, you never thought it would end up in Nikki's hands."
Rosalyn bit her lip when she heard this.
"Actually, Jim—"
"Actually, Mother-in-law had been stricken by guilt over this,"
Joshua interjected, smiling.
"She's been trying to think of a way to apologize to you and Bonnie."
He lowered his head and contemplated for a moment before finally lifting his head to meet Jim's gaze with a smile.
"If I remember correctly, Bonnie has a few days left, and I'm thinking that on the day of her death, we should host a small, intimate wedding for you two at Mansion, where she can put on the most beautiful dress and leave this world in the company of friends and family..."

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
