“Joshua, I missed you so much.“
In the bedroom back at the villa, Alice closed the door and hugged Joshua tightly from behind.
“All these years out there, a few times, I almost wanted to give up, but at the thought of you and the children… You’re my motivation that kept me alive… Luckily the children and I are back at your side now.“
Her tears soaked through Joshua’s shirt and into his bare back.
His heart felt as if it had been harshly grabbed and squeezed by an invisible hand.
He turned and pulled her into his arms. “Don’t worry, from now on, I won’t let you suffer anymore.“
“Okay.“ Alice sniffed, “I hope the woman that stole our children… will soon be punished by the law.“
She lay on his chest, her tears falling in rivulets. “ You saw the situation too, Nellie and Neil are both on her side, they don’t even want to acknowledge me as their mother. The sooner she’s convicted, the sooner the children will grow to accept me…“
Joshua frowned.
The hopelessness that was written on her face when she was taken away by the police appeared before his eyes.
His heart skipped a beat.
Then, a moment later, he sighed, “We should take this slow, study the case in detail.“
Somehow, even though there was solid physical evidence, he still felt that Luna had a valid reason behind all these.
Back then, how she saved Nellie and protected Neil, he saw all of it clearly with his own two eyes.
Even though her actions could not compensate for her evil deeds, the children still cared deeply about her.
If he tried to get rid of this issue as fast as possible, he might leave a bad impression on the children.
Alice frowned in displeasure. She lay on his chest. “ But I think the children won’t like me as long as she’s here…“
“You should trust our children.“ Joshua softly ruffled her hair. “Be a good girl.“
She hesitated for a second. “Alright.“
Then, she raised her head and circled her arms around his neck, her eyes gentle. “Joshua, I’ve missed you so much.“
The air was filled with anticipation.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
