At dawn the next day, Joshua was awakened by Nellie who was lying in his arms.
The little girl poked her finger into his cheek. “ Daddy, why are you so handsome?“
Her childish ways drew a chuckle out of him. With sleep still in his eyes, he ruffled her hair softly. “ Isn’t it nice to have a handsome Daddy?“
“Of course, it is! “ Nellie smiled, her eyes slanting upwards into little crescents, and held his face, planting a kiss on his cheek. “You’1l1ook even better i f you can release Aunty Luna.“
At the little girl’s mention of Luna, Joshua’s gaze turned dark. He glanced at Nellie. “Do you want her to be released so badly?“
“Yeah! “ Nellie hugged his arm. “Since I could remember, she was the one who has been taking care of me, if she wasn’t nice to me, I wouldn’t appear in front of you, happy and healthy, am I right? She’s so nice to me, I can’t bear to see her suffer.“
He frowned. He saw with his own two eyes how nice Luna was to Nellie. She was actually a kind woman. But, why did she do something like that all those years ago…
The little girl’s dark eyes were trained on Joshua. “ Daddy, can you let Aunty Luna go?“
Sighing, he patted her head gently, “This isn’t something I can decide alone.“
Both him and Alice were the victims in this case. It was useless if he alone forgave Luna because the one who was hurt the most was Alice.
“Then if Aunty Alice doesn’t want to take action anymore, will you stop too, Daddy?“ Nellie asked him, her big eyes looking at him expectantly.
Joshua remained quiet for a long while. A second later, he nodded. “If she doesn’t want to take action anymore, I won’t either.“
“You promised! “ With that, Nellie climbed out of bed, and flew into the bathroom to wash up.
Looking at the little girl’s retreating back, Joshua shook his head and followed her into the bathroom to wash his face.
When he carried Nellie downstairs for breakfast, Neil and Alice were already seated at the dining table.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
