Chapter 2435
Mrs.Flores sighed and lowered her head.
"I'm the one who wanted to quit this job."
Truth be told, she never wanted to quit this job, either.
Her bosses, Joshua and Luna, were both kind and accepting people, and all the children in the house, including Shelly and Riley, were obedient, easygoing children.
Because everyone in the family loved her so much, Lucas offered her attractive pay with decent employee benefits.
Before this, Mrs.Flores had wanted to stay at this job for as long as she could, but after her meeting with Samuel the night before, she had a long discussion with Yannie and decided that it was best to listen to her old friend's advice.
After all, Samuel had not been in touch with her for almost a year, and when he was about to leave Merchant City, the first thing he decided to do was meet her one last time to warn her to stay away from the Landry and Lynch families and the man named 'Howard "
After careful consideration, Mrs.Flores decided it was probably better to take her old friend's advice.
No matter how kind the employer was, nothing mattered more than a well-intentioned warning.
"Why?"
Luna furrowed her brows, determined to keep Mrs.Flores at all costs.
"Are you upset at Joshua or me or perhaps displeased at Lucas? If there's anything bothering you, you can always tell me.I promise I'll be able to help."
If only she knew how difficult it was to find the perfect babysitter —one whom the three children liked but at the same time was capable of taking care of them— including Shelly and Riley! In Luna's opinion, no one could replace Mrs.Flores' position in their hearts.
Mrs.Flores bit her lip when she saw the crestfallen look on Luna's face. She wanted to say something in response, but no words came out.She did not know how to reject Luna's kind offer, nor did she want to break Luna's heart.
"Perhaps Mrs.Flores is saddened by the fact that we didn't secure a job for her daughter, Yannie," a male voice rang out from above their heads.
Mrs.Flores Luna lifted their heads in unison.
At this moment, Joshua was leaning against the railing of the floor above them. His arms were crossed in front of his chest as he stared at them as though he had been watching them for a long time.
Mrs.Flores grew even more flustered when she saw Joshua's expressionless face.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
