Chapter 2438
Joshua's words stunned Thomas for a good few seconds.
After a while, he managed to calm himself and looked at Joshua.
What makes you ask me this question, Mr.Lynch? If I remember correctly, we're not close enough to be calling each other brothers.
Joshua changed his position to a more comfortable posture. He sat on the couch in a kingly manner and stared at Thomas, who pretended to know nothing.
"Do you not know, or are you just pretending that you know nothing? I'm sure you remember your mother's family name." Thomas squinted at this.
"I'm sure my mother's family name has nothing to do with you." Thomas' mother was, in truth, Senior Howard's first wife.
Back in the old days, Senior Howard was just a poor young man, while Thomas' mother was the second daughter of an affluent, powerful family. She met Senior Howard and thought he was her soulmate, the love of her life.
Thus, she decided to elope with him, leaving her family and twin sister behind, vouching to never reunite with them again.
At that time, she thought she was set for life as though she was the main character of a romantic drama, having lowered her status to marry a poor man.She thought she was the type to give up everything just for the name of love.
As it turned out...it was not what she thought after all.
The love Senior Howard had for her only lasted that long.
When she helped Senior Howard become a successful business in the town, he no longer appreciated this woman who supported him from the ground up.
Even when Thomas' mother was the one who funded the business through the money she earned in her spare time, and even when Thomas' mother was the one who helped to earn the first bucket of gold in the business...
Senior Howard thought that it was all his hard work and had nothing to do with the plain- old housewife.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
