Chapter 2487
This sentence seemed to put everyone on their toes.
All of a sudden, Luna felt as though an invisible hand was squeezing her heart.
How could this be? Did Rosalyn not say that Bonnie was not poisoned at all and could wake up tonight? Why was Bonnie still unconscious and worse...had stopped breathing altogether?
"Bonnie..."
Jim, who had already prepared himself for this moment, tried to feel for Bonnie's breath.
After doing so, he remained silent and instead wrapped his arms around Bonnie's legs tightly.
Apart from Jim and Harvey, everyone else in the room had expressions of shock plastered across their faces, including Rosalyn.
"No—this can't be!"
Rosalyn narrowed her eyes and stood up from her wheelchair. Her drug could never go wrong! Unless...
Unless Nikki had added something else into the syringe when poisoning Bonnie! However, Nikki had always thought this was a real poison and could not possibly have added anything else into the concoction.
At the thought of this, Rosalyn tried to sprint in Bonnie's direction, but she was so frail that after two steps, her legs gave out beneath her.
Charles quickly picked her up when he saw her fall.
"Are you okay?"
"No..."
Rosalyn stared at Bonnie in the distance and said in a trembling voice, "Bring me over...I want to check on Bonnie!"
Charles nodded and quickly shuffled over to Bonnie's side with Rosalyn in his arms.
"There's no need to waste your energy, Mother."
Jim let out a bitter chuckle when he saw the worry on Rosalyn's face.
"Didn't you already say that there was nothing you could do? I've already accepted this fact."
He failed to mention that his heart withered soon after.
"No, it's not that, Jim."
Rosalyn exhaled, strode forward, and felt for Bonnie's breath, furrowing her brows.
Bonnie's symptoms...did not seem right!
"Come help me."
Rosalyn glanced at Jim.
"I want to do CPR on her.
"Jim let out a calm, bitter chuckle.
"What use is it to do CPR now?"
The time had already come, and this was Bonnie's cue to leave, was it not? In the days after she had been poisoned, Jim had tried to find ways of curing her, but it all led him to disappointment.
Now that he had already prepared himself for this moment talked himself out of taking his life to join Bonnie, why was everyone so agitated over this, as though none of them had accepted the truth? Was it because he was too cold-hearted?
"I can't explain this to you now."
Rosalyn frowned and said urgently, "If you still want Bonnie to live, come help me right now. There was a hint of solemness in Rosalyn's urgent voice.Jim hesitated for a moment, then finally sighed.
"Alright."

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
