Neil rolled his eyes and leaned against the couch lazily. Joshua sighed. “It’s all Luna’s fault. She’s spoiled you.“
“This has nothing to do with Mommy. Fine, I ‘ll sit properly. “ Neil could not stand hearing anyone talk bad about his mother, so he immediately sat up. “ Alright. What did you want to talk to me about?“
“Alice is your mother. “ Joshua gave Neil a solemn look. “She’s carried you and Nellie in her womb for ten months and even suffered a car accident during her pregnancy. Life hasn’t been easy on her. I know you both have spent a lot of time with Luna and that she raised you, but it doesn’t mean you can act disrespectfully toward Alice. She’s your birth mother. Both of you are smart kids, so I ‘m sure you understand why she wasn’t there for you, but now that she’s back, you have to treat her with the respect she deserves.“
Neil rolled his eyes. Of course, they would respect their mother, but Alice was not their birth mother— Luna was!
“Answer me,“ insisted Joshua coldly when Neil did not respond.
Neil pursed his lips. “There always has to be an adjustment period, right, Mr. Lynch? I know you want us to respect Ms. Alice, but we don’t think she cares very much about us. In that case, why should we respect and care about her?
”She doesn’t let us eat anything outside of our regular meals, and she doesn’t let us eat dinner on time. Now, she’s teaching us that as children, we should learn to please adults. Let me ask you, Mr. Lynch: Would you want a mother like that if you’re a kid?”
Joshua’s expression grew wistful upon hearing Neil’s words. He, too, was not a person who liked to be restricted by rules. When he was younger, he hated being told what to do and being lectured by adults. Neil and Nellie reminded Joshua so much of himself…
Joshua sighed. ”You’re right. I admit that Alice was wrong there. I’ll talk to her… ”
Neil pursed his lips and replied, ”Sure, go ahead, talk to her. If she learns how to be as good a mother as my Mommy someday, then we’ll respect her! ”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
