Luna shrugged and gave Shannon her phone back. “ Get back to work. You shouldn’t be looking at stuff like this during office hours.“
Shannon’s jaw dropped. “Director Luna, don’t you… want to explain anything?“
Luna glanced at her. “Why do I need to explain anything to you? Maybe I should put it this way: None of you will believe me even if I explained, so why should I waste my energy?“ With that, she turned around and went back into her office with a small smile.
To be honest, Luna did not care that Alice had gone to the press. She did not care if everyone who saw that article ended up misunderstanding her and thought she was a selfish, jealous woman. Long gone was the Luna who cared about the opinions of others, who strived to please everyone she met.
All she wanted to do was finish her sketches in time so she could take Neil and Nellie on an outing as Joshua promised.
It was another busy day. When it was time to get off from work, Luna’s assistant knocked on her door. “ Director Luna, someone is here to see you.“
Luna glanced at the time —it was 5pm. She smiled faintly, thinking it was Theo who came to pick her up from work. She instructed her assistant, “Alright, let him in.“
Someone pushed the door open a moment later, but it was not Theo as Luna had expected.
It was Granny Lynch. She entered the room with the help of two servants and sat down on the couch grouchily. She had a hostile expression and appeared to be furious about something. ”Well, well. If I hadn’t seen the news today, I wouldn’t have found out that you’re working here!”
The corners of Luna’s mouth turned up in a small smile. ”Ma’am, you fired me from my position at Blue Bay Villa because Aura gave you something in return. Are you trying to get me fired from Lynch Group now? Whose gift did you accept this time?
Alice’s?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
