This was Alice and Joshua’s first meal together alone. Alice could not hide her excitement and kept offering Joshua more food during their meal. Joshua had wanted to talk to her about what happened on this day, but seeing how enthusiastic she was, he could not bear to bring it up.
After he finished his food, Joshua set down his cutlery. “Alice, I have something to tell you.“
Alice was in the middle of clearing the table as she handed the dirty plates to a servant and smiled at him. “Can’t it wait? What’s so urgent that you have to bring it up right here?“
“There was a surveillance camera in the art gallery that day.“ Joshua gave her a meaningful look. “The painting Luna ruined was a fake one. However, there was a pinhole camera embedded in the painting.“
Alice’s hands stiffened at that. Then, after a moment, she let out a strained laugh. “How’s that possible…“
Theo was there on the day Luna ruined the painting. I f he did have surveillance footage of the entire incident, why did he not provide it as evidence?
“That’s all I want to say. “ Joshua stared at her. “We used to be honest with each other in the past. You used to tell me everything. It was because of our shared honesty that I could trust you, and I was willing to help you and support you in everything.
“Now, I don’t know who you’ve become anymore. “
With that, Joshua stood up and turned around to leave.
Alice clenched her teeth. “Where do you think you’re going?“
Joshua paused mid-step, but after a moment, he continued walking. “Since you’re not truthful to me, I don’t think I’m obliged to tell you everything either.“
Alice’s expression darkened as she watched the man’s retreating figure. Finally, she stormed upstairs and into her room. She pulled open the bottom drawer of her nightstand and took out a phone. “Mr. Walter, stop everything, “ she snapped into the phone.
Alice knew Joshua would not lie to her about this. However, if Luna had surveillance footage of what truly happened that night, all her plans would be ruined. She could not take this risk.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
