Chapter 2848
It was clear what she thought of this.
When he saw this, Luke was silent for a moment before finally sighing. “It’s okay. If you don’t think of him that way, none of us will force you into liking him.”
However…
He would be truly, genuinely happy if Gwen were to fall for Steven and be with him.
Luke had spent most of his life clawing his way up to the top of the food chain, and because of this, had failed to give Gwen what she truly deserved–a life of peace and tranquility.
He of all people knew what Steven was capable of, which was why he was hoping Steven and Gwen would end up together.
However, since Gwen was unwilling to, he would not force it upon her.
Snow began to fall once more as the two of them made their way down the street. As the weather got colder and colder, people began to scatter and enter indoors.
White snowflakes fell on Luke and Gwen’s hair and clothes as they trudged through the streets hand–in- hand.
“I remember that quote that you read to me once; to watch a snowfall together is to experience a thousand seasons.” Luke reached out to gently stroke Gwen’s hair. “Well, have we experienced a thousand seasons together?”
Gwen lifted her head to meet his gaze, tears brimming in her eyes. “Of course we have. We’ve watched snowfall together, so it means we’ve experienced a thousand seasons together. We’ve spent the best of our lives with each other.”
Luke chuckled and pulled her into his arms.
Initially, the two of them had intended to spend the rest of the day walking in the snow, but they had underestimated the sheer force of the northern wind.
After barely an hour, Gwen was beginning to feel exhausted and shivering from the cold. Therefore, Luke brought her to a nearby hotel to spend the rest of the day.
Unfortunately, the couple in the room the next day were exceptionally passionate, and the sound coming from the other side of the wall made Gwen blush.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
