Chapter 2938
There was a faint glimmer in Celia’s eyes.
She lifted her head to stare at Luna rather dazedly, but her gaze seemed to speak a thousand words.
Luna knew that Celia was waiting for a confirmation, so she let out an exhale and turned to glance at Joshua.
Joshua smiled and shot her a look of affirmation.
Luna finally smiled, turned back to meet Celia’s gaze, and said softly, “Aunty Celia, if you step forward and expose Mr. Adrian for who he truly is, Joshua will treat you well in the future. Besides, you’re the mother of Joshua’s brother, and if you expose the truth, Joshua will take care of both you and Michael. He’ll never allow you two to fend for yourselves in this cruel world.”
This tugged at Celia’s heartstrings.
The truth was, she never cared about Adrian at all-all she cared about was Michael!
She almost fell right into Adrian’s trap!
Michael was her son, and she could see through every last thought in his head. The only reason Michael adored his father was that Adrian had always been generous to them, and if Adrian lost all his money and went broke, Michael would never want to be associated with him.
If she stepped forward and exposed Adrian’s true colors, in Joshua’s favor, Joshua would fulfill his promise and provide the life she wanted.
With Joshua’s help, she could start her own business, and start her new life afresh. This was a far better option than letting Michael go with Adrian and inherit his debt.
“Also…” Luna curled her lips into a smile as she sensed Celia’s thoughts, and whispered in her ear, “Think about this. Joshua is already powerful enough in Banyan City, yet the loan sharks are relentlessly demanding money from him even at such an event. Do you think that they won’t do the same, if not worse, to Michael in the future, once they find out about his association with Adrian? After all, loan sharks aren’t the people you want to mess with…”
Celia clenched her fists upon hearing this.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
