Chapter 2952
The next morning, Joshua was just about to take a quick nap on the sofa after working the entire night when his phone rang.
It was Jude.
Joshua picked up, rubbing his eyebrows in exhaustion. "What's wrong?"
"Joshua!" Jude exclaimed from the other end of the line. "Where were you last night?"
Joshua furrowed his eyebrows and glanced at the empty living room. "At home, of course."
Before this, he and Luna had stayed in a rental unit that John helped them book so that their return to Banyan City would remain a secret, but considering that everyone in Banyan City knew that they returned and even witnessed Luna attempting murder, Joshua decided not to continue staying at the rental unit anymore and instead returned home to Blue Bay Villa.
Since Blue Bay Villa had been abandoned for quite some time, he dismissed most of the servants working there, with only a couple remaining to keep the villa clean and tidy.
It was five in the morning, and the cleaners had yet to arrive, so Joshua was the only one at home.
"You didn't go to the hospital, did you?" Jude asked after letting out an exhale.
Joshua raised his brows at this. "Why would I go there?"
"Jacqueline is dead." Jude sighed. "The nurses found her when they were doing their ward rounds this morning. Someone yanked off all her equipment and oxygen supply. She...quite literally suffocated to death."

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
