Chapter 2995
The color drained from Gwen's face when she heard this. She lunged forward and grabbed hold of Winson's arm. "What did you just say?"
Her father had told her he was fine on the phone a few days ago! He even emphasized to her that since everyone thought they had fallen out, none of the gangsters would even attempt to harm him...
"Got your attention now, huh?" Winson curled his lips into a sneer. "It turns out I was right; you still care about that old geezer. I can't believe those idiots in Sea City were dumb enough to think you'd fallen out! If I hadn't told them how loyal you were to the people around you, none of them would've even dared to capture him!'
Gwen froze when she heard this. She bit her lip and turned to gape at Winson incredulously. "You..."
Winson was the reason her father had gotten captured?
"I, what?" Winson's cackle echoed through the cold air. "Don't blame me for being so ruthless. If you had given me a chance and gone on that date with me and behaved properly, none of this would've happened. Dont be too upset, will you?"
He narrowed his eyes and looked down at Gwen, who was clutching his arm. 'I'm going to bring you back to Sea City, and don't worry, you'll be reunited with that old geezer again before you die!"
With that, he pulled her into his arms, his grip as tight as a vice, and yelled to the guards, "What are you waiting for?"
The only person protecting Gwen was that man dressed in black, and as long as they got rid of him somehow, Gwen would be utterly defenseless.
The guard stormed forward and surrounded the man in black, as per Winson's orders. "You'd better surrender now, and if you do, we might consider going easy on you!"
The man curled his lips into a smirk. His cold, desolate gaze pierced through the crowd and landed on Winson instead.
At this moment, that wretched man was trying to get ahold of Gwen by pulling him into his arms as tightly as he could, as though he was confident that Gwen would fall into his hands.
"You're dead."

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
