The love and affection accumulated over the past few months disappeared in an instant.
From beginning to the end, he was still the same cold and unfeeling Joshua Lynch.
Six years ago, he could tell her calmly before leaving on a business trip that he would accompany her to the doctor’s once he came home.
And then kill her mercilessly after he returned.
Six years later, he could still parade his love for his wife as he divorced her and even planned her murder.
Her sleepiness evaporated immediately.
Luna sat in the car, Yuri’s rambling floating into her right ear and immediately exiting through the left.
Joshua’s cold, emotionless face was all she saw.
The four-to-five-hour journey was meant to be long.
But with her mixed bag of emotions, Luna felt the journey was exceptionally short.
At noon, the car left the expressway and drove into the city area of Sea City.
This was where Luna lived as a child.
She had not been back here since she married Joshua.
Returning to her hometown after years away, she should have been excited.
But instead, she did not feel an ounce of exhilaration.
Stepping out of the car once they reached the hotel, she immediately noticed Joshua standing at the entrance of the hotel.
He stood beside the engraved marble pillar, talking on the phone.
Under the hotel’s luxurious décor, the man’s side profile looked exceptionally handsome and breath – taking.
Just last night, they had been as intimate as physically-possible, but today, Luna felt as if he was miles and miles away from her.

Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
