The sound of Gwen’s slap rang across the banquet hall.
Luna covered her face in shock, turning to look at her.
Gwen crossed her arms across her chest and snorted coldly, “Who knew you still dared come here! “
She glared at Luna viciously, her eyes full of haughty derision. “In Banyan City, you dared seduce another woman’s husband, ruining her marriage until she’s getting a divorce, and now you dare come flaunting your claws in Sea City! “
Gwen’s voice was loud and boisterous, attracting the attention of everyone around them. They crowded around them instinctively.
As the crowd expanded, Gwen grew more aggressive. “And yet you dare come here? Do you know Alice is from Sea City, the people of Sea City are supporting her! “
Even though Joshua was a family name in Banyan City, in Sea City, not many people knew him.
Most people had missed the news, but hearing Gwen’s words, the crowd erupted into a sea of discussion.
“She’s so beautiful, who could guess she’s just a mistress…“
“And she even ruined their marriage, the wife is getting a divorce…“
“She deserves to be slapped! “
The murmurs of the surrounding crowd made Luna frown.
Even though she and Gwen were desk-mates in high school, they lost touch once Luna moved to Banyan City to attend university.
Why did Gwen suddenly care about her old friend whom she had not contacted in more than ten years?
Seeing Luna press her palm to her cheek and remain silent, Gwen grew even more aggressive.
She raised her hand and tried to slap her again.
In mid-air, her wrist was restrained by someone. It was not anyone else, but the target of her slap,
Luna herself.
Luna held onto her wrist tightly, her voice cold and distant. “Ms. Larson, mind your words. Did you forget how you got into a fight with the kids in the other class because you mindlessly believed some baseless rumors?“
For a second, Gwen was dazed.
In high school, she did get into a fight with students from another class because of a baseless rumor.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
