The butler was no innocent, simple-minded old man.
The butler’s face fell as he listened to Alice’s words. “ Ms. Gibson, I didn’t do all of this for you. I did them for my daughter, Yvonne! She’s good friends with you, and if you’re unhappy because of this woman, she’ll be just as unhappy, too.
“As her father, it’s only natural that I wouldn’t want to see my daughter sad and moping around every day! Besides…“
He glared at Luna viciously, and a cold smile hung from his lips. “This woman used work as an excuse to stay beside Mr. Lynch, but in actuality, she harbors ill-intentions toward him! Why shouldn’t I expose the actions of a woman who intentionally seduces a married man, showing the world how evil and calculating she is?“
The hatred in his eyes as he glared at Luna and spat those words far surpassed the hatred one would have for a mistress.
Luna narrowed her eyes slightly.
A moment later, her lips twisted into a smile as she laughed coldly. “The old butler cares so much about the Walter family! Those in the loop know that Mrs.
Lynch is your daughter’s friend, but those that aren’t would think Mrs. Lynch is your daughter instead! “
The butler scoffed coldly, “To me, Alice is just like my own daughter! “
“Stop it…“ Alice wiped her tears and walked up to him, pulling at his sleeve. “I know you and Yvonne just want the best for me, but the truth isn’t what you think at all…“
She then walked toward Joshua, raised her arm, and hooked it intimately through his. “Joshua and I have been close all along. We have two children together: a son and a daughter. Six years ago, I left Banyan City, and he waited for me throughout the past six years.
“What’s more, in the past six years, he even took good care of my sister and family for my sake… How can another woman come between us, when we share such a tight bond?
“Besides, Luna has only worked at the Lynch Group for a month. I believe Joshua; he’s not someone who’ll give up on a six-year-long relationship for a woman he’s only known for a month.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
