Luna froze. She never thought that Joshua would notice her necklace. She was always careful and refrained from talking to the necklace whenever he was around.
Last night, she had switched on the necklace’s microphone so Nigel could hear everything during the cocktail party. She never thought Joshua would notice her action and harbor suspicions toward the necklace she wore.
Joshua knew his guess was right when he noticed Luna’s surprised expression. He narrowed his eyes at her.
He observed Luna’s every move last night; she did not touch her phone throughout the whole night. How, then, did she manage to stay in touch with the hacker?
Joshua was intrigued by this, so he checked the surveillance tapes of the cocktail party. The footage showed that apart from a small instance where Luna touched her necklace, she displayed no other suspicious behavior. This was why he suspected her necklace was no ordinary one.
When he noticed how dazed she was, Joshua reached out to grab her necklace. However, Luna immediately came to and pressed both of her hands against her chest. “Don’t you dare touch me! “
She leaped off the couch and stepped away from him as her hands remained on her chest. “This necklace
belongs to me, Neil, and Nellie. Don’t you dare try to take it from me! “
Joshua stood up and strode over to her. The closer he got, the more menacing his gaze grew. “Since it’s just an ordinary necklace, what’s wrong with me looking at it? I’m not going to take it from you. I just want to have a look.“
Luna backed away from him frantically. She feared that Joshua would discover the necklace’s secret function and, in turn, discover Nigel’s existence.
Suddenly, she felt the coolness of the door that pressed against her back. Joshua extended his arms and placed them on either side of her, and he effectively trapped her to the door. There was nowhere else to escape.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
