After ending the call with Nigel, Luna hesitated in her room for a long while but finally mustered her courage and went to the hospital.
Joshua was right.
Luke did indeed protect Gwen very well. Even when she wanted to meet Gwen, his subordinates guarding the door had to report to their superiors and onward, before they finally obtained Luke’s permission and allowed her into the ward.
When Luna arrived at Gwen’s hospital ward, Gwen was climbing down the hospital with her father, Andy’s help.
Seeing Luna arrive, Gwen’s pupils shrunk slightly, then she raised her eyes and smiled at her softly. “ You’re just in time.“
She smiled and sat in the wheelchair. “Luke Jones said I’ll be transferred to another hospital tomorrow. I want to make a trip home, to pack up some of my stuff and bring it over there.“
With that, Gwen looked at Luna calmly. “Since you’re here, please accompany me home. I don’t want my father to still be taking care of me when I’m already an adult.“
Luna pursed her lips, walked toward her silently, and took the wheelchair that Andy was pushing. “ Alright.“
She pushed Gwen out of the hospital ward, entered the elevator and headed downstairs.
A black Cayenne was parked downstairs.
In front of the Cayenne, Luke leaned on the car bonnet elegantly, smoking a cigarette. Seeing them arrive, the man extinguished the cigarette in his hands, walked to the wheelchair and heaved Gwen up into his arms, placing her in the backseat. Then, he folded up the wheelchair skillfully.
Luna stood on the spot, looked at his smooth and skillful actions, her lips could not help but raise into a smile. “I never expected Leader Jones would do something like this personally.“
Luke closed the booth and swept his cold gaze across at Luna. “I was born unlucky. I’ve done all sorts of jobs before I joined a gang.“
With that, he stood up directly and entered the car, climbing into the driver’s seat.
It looked like he was prepared to be their driver.
Luna was surprised. Someone like him… would escort Gwen personally?
Looking at the man from behind as he drove, Luna completely believed Joshua’s words, that Luke would protect Gwen as best as he could.
The journey was quiet.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
