Luna was so shocked by this that she almost dropped her phone. She asked, her entire body trembling, “So now you…“
“We’ve split up.“ Theo’s voice sounded slightly hoarse through the phone. “Zach and Yuri have left with Nellie, and Neil and I are still here, but we’re pretending as if nothing has happened to stall them. My father will send some people over to meet up with us in a while, and we’ll all leave together.“
He sighed and continued, “You don’t have to worry about us. I was afraid that if both Neil and Nellie left together, it’d attract their attention. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked Neil to stay here with me.
They’re after the children, not me, so I’m sure they won’t try to harm me. I just wanted to give you a heads up.“
“Alice is already coming after us without any regard for consequences, so I was worried that you might be in danger, too.“
Luna gripped her phone tightly and tried to suppress the panic in her heart. “I’m fine. I’ve already bought my tickets, and Gwen has asked Luke’s men to escort me to the airport…“
She closed her eyes and said, “Thank you, Theo.“
In the past, when Luna was still in Banyan City, Alice had threatened her, saying that the bodyguards looking after Neil and Nellie were, in fact, her men. Luna had been worried when she first heard this, but after asking Joshua about this, he told her that he had switched the bodyguards to his own men.
After that, he had even sent Zach and Yuri, Neil’s personal bodyguards, abroad to protect the two children. Moreover, it had already been a few months without anything bad happening, so naturally, Luna started to feel more reassured about her children’s safety.
However, she did not expect that… Alice’s men had not retreated after all. They had been lying in wait all this time, waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike.
Luna closed her eyes. As she listened to Theo’s voice over the phone, she felt a twinge of fear creep into her heart.
Why did Alice wait so long to strike? Out of all the chances she got, why did she pick this moment?
Was this just a coincidence? Or could it be…
Luna did not even dare to finish that thought.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
