“Mommy is sorry! It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have brought you back to Banyan City with me…“ Luna’s weeps echoed through the cemetery.
Staring at Luna’s scrawny build, Gwen helplessly sniffed and turned around to wipe away her tears.
To present such bad news to Luna as soon as she woke up from her coma was too cruel.
However… Gwen knew that if they did not tell her, it would complicate things in the future, since…
After all, Nigel and Nellie were not doing too well either.
The rain started to grow heavier, so Joshua opened his umbrella and held it above Luna’s head, continuing to watch her weep in silence.
Luna cried from afternoon till evening until she eventually got tired, her voice hoarse in the aftermath. She finally slumped onto the ground, totally and utterly exhausted.
Despite that, however, she still clung to Neil’s tombstone in desperation, as though holding onto it would prevent Neil from actually leaving this world.
“Luna.“ Joshua sighed and threw his umbrella aside. He squatted and pulled Luna into his arms.
She was so skinny that he could feel her bones pressing against his body.
“Listen to me,“ said Joshua in a slightly hoarse but gentle voice. “Neil was a hero. He used the last of his strength to protect his sister. Listen.“
Joshua let out an exhale and took out a necklace from his shirt pocket.
Luna lifted her head and fixated her gaze on the necklace.
She recognized it. This necklace belonged to Neil.
When they returned to Banyan City, Nigel had prepared three necklaces for each of them so that they could communicate with each other. The necklaces even had a voice recording function.
However, all three necklaces looked distinct from each other, so Luna could recognize that the one Joshua was holding was Neil’s.
“The police found this a distance away from the explosion site. Although it’s a little damaged, it didn’t get burned. What I’m guessing is that Neil used the last of his strength to toss it out of the fire.“ Joshua let out another sigh, then pressed the small button on the necklace.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
