Joshua was unable to refute Adrian’s rhetorical question.
Joshua closed his eyes. The disappointment in him washed over wave after wave.
“I’m your biological son.“
Why did his thoughts and feelings not matter in Adrian’s heart? Only Hailey’s was important.
Adrian smiled. “It’s because I know that you are my son, that is why I hoped you could be with the best girl on earth.“
Adrian looked at Joshua with bone -chilling iciness.
“It’s true. I don’t really like you that much. I had a good relationship with your mother, but your mother died while she gave birth to you, and I was quite reluctant to see you after that. I left Banyan
City and left you for your grandmother to bring you up. No matter what, you’re still my son in the end. I also hope to see you being happy. However, only the girl I arranged for you can bring you happiness, yet you defied me over and over again…“
Adrian sneered. “I thought that you were only blinded, and that was why I helped Hailey, time after time. I never thought that you’d be hopeless. Not only did you kill the woman that loved me the most in this world, but you also forced the woman that loved you the most to kill herself.“
Joshua smirked.
“I’d rather hope that she didn’t kill herself.“
At that time, on the top floor of Sea City, Joshua did not know everything that Hailey had done. He only thought she killed herself in embarrassment and rage because her identity had been exposed.
When Joshua knew what Hailey did to Luna, Neil, and Nellie, she had already died.
If Hailey did not kill herself, he swore that he would not let her die such a quick death!
Adrian harrumphed coldly and stood up.
“Too bad Hailey has such a strong character—she never gave you the chance to torture her. If you’re here today to place the blame on me, then I can tell you that I’ve long known about the truth. Also, I don’t regret helping Hailey at all.“
Joshua’s hands which were on the stone table balled up tightly.
“Alice used the power you gave her to kill Neil. You won’t feel guilty about this at all, will you?“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
