“So, you have to bear this bite.“
Joshua’s words seemed to have encouraged Nellie. She held onto Adrian’s arm tightly and bit him hard. She was so exhausted that sweat started to form on her forehead.
Adrian was in so much pain that he was in cold sweats, too.
He tried his best to struggle, but he could not break free of Joshua’s clutches.
Granny Lynch stood by the door with a wan expression and calmly remarked, “That’s enough. Even if you bite him to death, Neil won’t be resurrected from the dead.“
Upon hearing Granny Lynch’s voice, Nellie paused for a while before letting go of Adrian’s arm.
Nellie’s mouth was covered red with blood, nearly biting off a chunk of Adrian’s flesh at his hand.
He was in so much pain that he sweated profusely. He slumped and sat on the ground as he panted heavily.
“Are you alright?“ Joshua ignored Adrian, went around him, and approached Nellie. He picked her up, took a piece of tissue from the table, and wiped the blood in her mouth while being concerned for her.
Nellie pursed her lips. She did not push him away as usual but silently laid in his arms, not saying anything.
Granny Lynch sighed and walked over slowly with her walking stick.
“I heard the conversation between both of you just now.“
She walked over, bent down, and looked at the injuries on Adrian’s hand. She sneered.
“Your father passed away early, and I brought you up single-handedly. I was your father and your mother a t the same time. In your later years, you married and gave birth to a child. Because your wife had a difficult labor, you took it out on Joshua. You threw him to me to bring him up.
“Then, when Joshua’s children came back, I thought I could finally enjoy my late years. I never would’ve thought…“
Granny Lynch sighed.
“Whether it was you or Joshua, I carefully protected you both when you were young. I was afraid that things might happen to you, that you might suffer in my hands…
“I never would’ve thought that you could be so cruel to Joshua’s child. Since you have no regard for my great-grandson, from today onward, you are no son of mine! “
Granny Lynch stood up coldly. She turned and looked at Joshua. “Bring Nellie in. It’s windy outside.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
