Joshua coldly interrupted her, “I ‘ve decided to call off the engagement with Aura at Granny’s birthday banquet three days alter.“
Luna shuddered.
She looked at him in shock. “Call off the engagement?“
Why was he planning to call off the engagement? Was it because of Nellie, or because he knew that Luna Gibson was still alive?
Strange how he stopped at nothing to kill her off six years ago so he could be with Aura, though.
Why did he call off the engagement six years later after Nellie’s appearance?
This was illogical. There must be another reason.
However…
Luna bit her lips and carefully looked at Joshua. “Is it..because of me?“
All this while, Joshua would seemingly unintentionally have body contact with her, so if it was not because of Nellie, the only other logical reason was that Joshua has treated her as his new love. He was sick of Aura.
Joshua laughed a little. He did not answer her question but instead asked her in return, “What do you think?“
He was trying to tell Luna that she was a little presumptuous.
However, it sounded quite flirtatious in Luna’s ears. Was he admitting to it tacitly?
At that thought, Luna suddenly had mixed feelings.
Although everything was off track from her original plan, the end result was the same.
On the other hand, she did not expect things to happen so quickly.
Joshua had a change of heart so quickly that it disgusted her. This man was as unfaithful as ever. He was a cheater!
Thinking back about her dreams where she met him for the first time and how she fell for him, Luna felt nauseated.
She pried his arms away, turned, and headed out of the door. “I’m going to make dinner for Nellie! “
Joshua looked at her leaving. He did not chase after her nor did he say anything.
The next morning, Luna has just finished making breakfast when her phone was bombarded by news notifications.
(Exclusive! Granny Lynch, hospitalized before her 80th! ]
(Bless her! Granny Lynch is still in resuscitation!]
(Celebrity Aura Gibson waiting by the operation theater. How filial! ]
She furrowed her brows. She wanted to read the news when there was a flurry of footsteps coming down the stairs.
Joshua came downstairs fully dressed with a serious expression. He immediately headed for the door.
By the door, he paused for a while. He turned back and glanced at Luna. “Don’t take Nellie out today. Stay at home.”
Luna pursed her lips. She knew that she should not show any concern, but she could not help it. She asked, “Is Granny Lynch alright?”
Joshua chuckled a little. “There’s nothing wrong with her. She’s healthier than you.”
Luna furrowed her brows. “But the news…” “She’s faking it.”
Joshua lowered his head and glanced at the time. “ The butler informed me yesterday that she was in resuscitation. It’s been eight hours already, and she should be awake. The beds in the emergency room are uncomfortable. I pity her.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
