After Joshua left, Nellie woke up and headed downstairs as well.
She was still in her pink cartoon pajamas. She sat awkwardly by the dining table.
“Why did Daddy leave so early in the morning?“ Luna furrowed her brows. “Nellie.“
“Hmm!“
Luna looked around. Once she made sure that no one else was in the house, she sighed deeply as she softly spoke, “If Mommy isn’t here in the future, you have to take good care of yourself. Do you hear me?“
Startled, Nellie put the hash browns down. “ Mommy, why won’t you be here? Are they chasing you away?“
Luna ignored her question. “I only want you to learn how to be independent.“
Nellie pouted.
“I don’t want to be independent. If I’m independent, Mommy, Neil, and Nigel won’t take care of me anymore,“ muttered Nellie while she angrily munched on the hash browns. “I don’t want to be independent! I don’t want to be obedient. I don’t want to grow up! “
Luna, who sat in front of Nellie, looked at Nellie helplessly and sighed.
She took out her phone and looked at the tracking number which Malcolm couriered the jewelry materials to her.
Checking the tracking number showed that Malcolm had used express delivery to send the package from Europa to Banyan City.
The courier would take another day to reach, and Granny Lynch’s birthday banquet was two days later. Luna only had a day left.
Closing her eyes momentarily, she then opened them as she looked at Nellie. “We haven’t painted in a long time, have we now?“
At the mention of painting, Nellie’s eyes sparkled. Nellie was like Luna: passionate about art and design.
However, because her body was too weak, when they were overseas, Nellie would stay in the studio all day without sleeping.
Later on, for the sake of her health, Luna forbade Nellie from painting.
At the mention of painting once again, Nellie was so excited that she almost fell off her chair.
Her big, watery eyes shone with excitement. “You’ll let me paint?“
“Mmh.“ Luna smiled gently. “Quickly eat up. I’ll tell your Daddy to prepare an art studio for you later. “
As for the design of Stargazing, she still needed to make some amendments.
“Okay! “ Nellie gobbled up the hash browns. “I’ll send Daddy a message after eating! “
“Don’t rush.“ Luna patted Nellie on the head. “I ‘m going back to our rented house later. Do you want to tag along?“
The design drafts that Neil took the liberty of sending them back from overseas came in handy at that moment.
At the hospital.
Joshua just exited from the elevator when Aura, who had been sitting by the emergency room entrance, rushed forward.
“Joshua, why are you only here now?! “
She wiped her tears as she reached out to grab Joshua’s arm. “Granny had been in there the entire night, and I’ve been so worried. I can’t stop crying.“
Joshua looked at her condescendingly. He snickered and pulled away from her.
At the entrance of the emergency room, the butler was diligently standing guard. Upon seeing Joshua, the butler’s face turned serious. “Sir, you shouldn’t have come now.“
Joshua smiled slightly. He raised his voice, “Granny, I’m here. Come out.“
His words made the entire corridor of the hospital silent.
After a long while, the door of the emergency room opened.
The groggy doctor braced himself before he started explaining Granny Lynch’s condition seriously, “ Granny Lynch was too anxious…“
”I know.” Joshua pushed the doctor away and strode into the emergency room.
The pale Granny Lynch, who was in striped pajamas, was lying on the bed as she looked at him feebly. ”Joshua, you’re here.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
