Wolf-less Omega Luna novel Chapter 12

Axel's POV

Even if no one was hurting Alana, there was no way I was letting her stay back in this room in its sorry state.

With no source of warmth, the hard concrete floors that sent a little chill up my spine must have almost frozen Alana in her sleep.

The rest of the room was poorly ventilated, with a single light source —the window—, and an uncomfortable wooden bed.

I felt a hand squeeze my heart and pull it out of my chest. I was taking her out of there yesterday.

I couldn’t be bored from watching Alana comfort her friend from being emotional about her changing buildings since I got a front-row ticket to her curvaceous feature.

The moon goddess must have rested from working for a long time, come back fully energized, and crowned Alana with the best of every feature. She had my thanks for eternity.

Bad as she was health-wise, she still had thick, lustrous reddish-brown hair that I wished to run my hands through and massage. Eyes that glowed, even in the dark, and made my cock impossibly hard. Plump lips that released melodious lyrics others would refer to as mere words.

As I imagined her frail hands around my shaft, and my length stretching her mouth, a painful and pleasurable swell strained at my pants.

And her perky breasts that begged to be freed from the undersized shirt she had on? My beast wrestled to the surface, ready to take her.

Staring at her almost made me come in my pants like a fucking virgin teenager. A sight I now growled at, because other men must look at her and wish she were theirs.

Some vivid thoughts you must be having there, Alpha,” Tyler’s voice pulled me out of my zone through the mind link.

Shut it.” He wouldn’t mind his business. “After the Luna settles in, me and you are going to have a talk.” I put in, changing the topic.

A response didn’t get through before the door was burst open by…Britney?

It only took zero seconds for me to realize that the person who had caused Alana pain, and almost killed her was Britney?

Four furiously pushed at my skin surface, fighting to take over and claw Britney’s to death.

I went nuts as I realized that my mate’s torturer was none other than Britney!

“What the fuck did you just say?” I boomed and pulled to earth with anger. Tyler who just realized this too was raging.

She was only struck for a brief second before her once fiery anger quickly vanished and in its place was a nervous laugh and a clap of her hands. “Alpha, I didn’t catch you there.”

Of course, she didn’t. The two-faced demon had oozed out so much fury that it zoned out every other person's scent.

“Did you just, one, insult your Luna, and two, admit that you locked her up in a dungeon meant for the worst kind of prisoners?”

“Luna?” She muttered. Britney glanced at Alana, and her eyes slowly returned to me. “No way.” Her words came out in whispers.

Now towering directly over Britney in a sharp stride, my hand latched on to her neck and seized it.

She hurt what’s mine. MINE.

My beast pushed me on, delighted when the color was quickly draining from her face and replaced with a pale white mask.

Her fingers yanked at my hand in an attempt to loosen the grip but she should’ve known it would do nothing.

Soon, the same hands were slowly failing her strength, her eyes were rolling to the back of their sockets and her body was going limp.

It took one, two, three deep breaths filled with Alana’s apple-laced scent to pull me back from my zone and I released Brienry to the ground.

Gasping. Wheezing. Coughing.

“If you see the Luna coming in one direction, you take another. You are not to look her in the eyes or come near her at all.” Four wanted at her again. A simple choke did not in any way suffice for her maltreating my mate.

Seeing as it was Britney, she clearly did not need a reason to do whatever she did.

“Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?”I roared.

With that, we filed out of the room, leaving Britney to eat dust.

Alana had been shown to her new room and was settling in with the help of her friend, Lexi, and Tyler’s sister, Coral. Coral, as bubbly as she was, insisted she skipped training to help Alana on a tour of the place.
Tyler and I knew better than to argue with her.

I went down to my office with Tyler trailing behind. Once we were behind closed doors, I got right down to the matter.

“You know something that you’re not sharing,” I took a seat behind the table and gestured for Tyler who was standing opposite me to do the same. “Talk.”

“About what?”

“Don’t play dumb with me, Tyler,” my brows snapped. “I know when you’re hiding something, so start talking before I make you.”

Raising his hands in defeat and taking a long sigh, “Very well then,” he tsked, “here goes.”

My eyes didn’t leave him as he spoke.

“You don’t recognize her, do you?”

“Who exactly are we talking about here?”

“Alana…I mean, the Luna. You don’t recognize her?”

“Of course, I recognize her, Tyler. She’s my mate, I’ve accepted her and we’ve moved in together. All is well in that aspect.”
