The next day.
Luther, accompanied by Joyce and the children, boarded South Island. The wedding was scheduled for the day after tomorrow.
Guests would be arriving gradually over the next couple of days.
Kane followed Joyce to South Island. Luther had discussed with him last night about the communication surveillance around South Island, including intercepting signals to prevent any outgoing signals from the island.
Today, they arrived early to further enhance security, conducting thorough checks and precautions.
South Island was a not-so-big island, with picturesque landscapes, waves crashing against the rocky shore, creating a rhythmic sound. The island was divided by a meandering stream, the water flowing gently, crystal clear and clean pebbles lining the bottom. Sunlight beamed through the leaves, creating a sparkling effect on the stream. It was late autumn, with the arrival of early winter, the small hills were covered with red maple leaves, interspersed with the golden hues of ginkgo trees, a sight to behold.
The wedding venue was the only resort on the island.
Firstly, the resort connected the golden beach and the sea, with a huge lawn in between, where winter wheat grew lushly. At the end of the lawn, stood a grand banquet hall and a sprawling main building, embracing the surroundings with open arms. This area served to welcome VIP guests and host luxurious banquets.
Behind the banquet hall were rows of vacation villas for the guests to stay in.
Joyce and Luther stayed in the closest large villa to the banquet hall. Besides Aaron, there were dozens of bodyguards and four nannies accommodated in one place.
As soon as they arrived on South Island, Anderson followed Kane to set up the security system at the banquet hall.
The control room was located on the top floor of the entire banquet hall, covering a vast space of about 500 square meters, housing dozens of mainframes connecting every corner of the island. There were approximately 30 staff members inside, each diligently monitoring their assigned areas.
Anderson was amazed by the grand setup. Compared to what he had experienced before, this was on a whole new level.
"Wow," Anderson exclaimed, "This is way too much, they even have machines to intercept satellite signals."
"Your dad is indeed exaggerated. Just leave the national defense tasks to him in the future," Kane replied with a wry smile. He had heard about Luther's thorough arrangements, but this surpassed his expectations. It seemed like not even a fly could get in undetected.
"So, what do we have to do?" Anderson frowned, "There are so many people, we seem pretty useless here."
"Who said that? Let's familiarize ourselves with all the networks first," Kane pointed at a mainframe, "We'll connect the signal to our devices. In case of any emergency, we can be informed immediately. You'll attend the wedding the day after tomorrow, and I'll stay backstage to watch over."
"But Uncle Kane, aren't you here to attend the wedding too?" Anderson glanced at Kane.
"Well, it's just for the sake of formality. Your safety comes first. We will see each other anyway, no need for unnecessary formalities," Kane said nonchalantly, though deep down, he did mind a bit. Who would willingly watch their goddess marry someone else? Knowing was one thing, witnessing it was another.
Anderson rolled his eyes, "Do you perhaps have a crush on my mom? I suggest you drop that idea. It's impossible."
Kane shook his head, then playfully tapped Anderson's forehead, "You little rascal, watch your words."
"Only speaking the truth," Anderson said as he sat in front of the mainframe, looking surprisingly mature, "Uncle Kane, I felt something was off at home recently. Dad and Mom were always discussing things without telling me. And Dad ramped up security at home, being more attentive to me and my little sister."
Kane was unaware of the situation and looked surprised, "Are you saying something's wrong at home?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wrong marriage and sweet love (Joyce and Luther)
If this is the ending of this story the story then I wish I hadn’t started reading it doesn’t even end right has not closure. To bad these writers don’t put much into their endings....
When will the new chapters come I can't wait any longer...
Very strange ending, is Joyce pregnant again or does she still have remnants of the devil with her. Christian should have apologized and made up with Luther and Felix. Too much violence and twists and turns, once settled, everyone should be happy and healthy....
Omg… can’t you just let Luther and Joyce live in peace with their children….another controversy doesn’t add to the story....
Not again, ugh … just get rid of this disgusting despicable woman...
Hopefully the underground bio lab East523will be found soon and Luther will make a full recovery, Lily will be reunited with the family and all will be good. Otherwise this will be a very disappointing story....
Please don’t make more trouble for Joyce and Luther, they need to have their children and be happy...
Looking forward to Joyce shooting Otis where it will hurt him the most and end his disgusting ways with women. He’s a pig, deserves to lose his “unit”....
Just tell him you’re the one that saved him , not the evil woman and find your beautiful love story together. Quit being a wet blanket, too smart for that....
I hate it when the hero and heroine are made out to be fools for the evil people that wish to steal their lives and live. Hopefully Charlotte is found out quickly and removed. Why should a villain with an illegitimate child reap all the rewards. Terrible....
