Monique's eyes matched up to Henry's as he gently curled his lips. Their eyes coming into contact so naturally with each other was just that mesmerizing.
Monique's face was bright red all of a sudden and started experiencing palpitations.
She quickly withdrew her hand after she got the picture book and took a deep, long breath.
"The wolf and the seven little lambs."
"Once upon a time, Mrs. Sheep went to the woods to look for food and she reminded the seven little lambs to stay at home obediently and never open the door to allow the big bad wolf to enter. The big bad wolf consumed some putty powder to make his voice soft and even sprinkled flour over his legs. He then came over and knocked on the door of the sheep's house. The little lambs heard the soft voice and saw the white claws, and they instinctively thought that it was their mother who had returned and opened the door."
Monique told the story with a sweet voice, pronouncing each word crystal clear and her expression was lively. Her sweet and pleasant voice was heard through the room, even reaching the bottom of Henry’s heart.
"Argh…" Monique was about to continue with the story but was cut short when she heard Henry's deep yet gentle voice. He made his hands look somewhat like a claw, imitating the fierce big bad wolf.
Monique got shocked, he looked like a scary big bad wolf.
"Ah, that's creepy!" Angel pretended to be one of the terrified little lambs when she saw the fierce 'big bad wolf' and with a big smile on her face, she ran behind her mother.
Monique smiled as well and continued with the story, "The little lambs were petrified and went into hiding, some under the blanket, some under the bed, and some even hid inside the wardrobe. However, every single one of them was found and ended up being eaten. Leaving only the youngest little lamb."
Monique continued narrating the story while Henry was making some sound effects beside her, "Ah woo, ah woo…" as he mark out that he had eaten six little lambs.
Angel was hiding behind her mother, laughing delightfully.
"The big bad wolf had filled up his tummy and made his way under a tree to take a nap."
