“Hey, what are you looking at? Don’t learn from her. What’s so good about an old man,” Siobhan said in disdain. “We don’t even know how that bastard bewitched a rich man, even though she has a child.”
Siobhan thought of something out of sudden. “Is the snack you mentioned really that well-known? Wouldn’t it be really tasty then? Let’s go and take a look.”
She dragged Yvonne into the house after she spoke.
As Uncle Carl walked out just now, Zephyrus’s face turned from one full of dotting to one of gloom. He looked at Angel in his arms and said, “Angel, I’ve bought some fruits. They’re in the kitchen. Can you bring them to me?”
“Sure.” Angel raised her delicate face and smiled happily. Then she turned around and walked toward the kitchen.
As he watched Angel walk further and further away, Zephyrus turned his head around, looking blue. “Where did you get this money? How would you have money to buy so many things?” ‘Did you do something shameless?’
However, the last sentence was stuck in his throat. He could not bear to say it out loud.
She was pregnant and gave birth to Angel when she was 18 because of her ignorance. She lived a better life now so why did she embark on this journey again? Zephyrus was really mad.
Monique saw Zephyrus looking angry and became a little panicked. Her uncle had misunderstood her! She did not think it through. Her uncle knew she faced some difficulties in life so he had even secretly given her some money when she came back previously.
This time, she brought so many things back home—each of them wrapped exquisitely and seemed to be very expensive. No wonder her uncle misunderstood her.
