Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 216

Monique turned around and marched up the second floor, without having greeted Siobhan when they had crossed paths, and entered her room. The smile on her face gradually ceased.

Siobhan became angry when she had seen Monique ignoring her presence, "Zephyrus, just look at her. She's being so impolite after successfully seducing a rich man."

Zephyrus glared at Siobhan as he said, "Just keep your mouth shut," and went into the hall.

Yvonne pulled Siobhan to a corner and whispered something in her ear, which made her crack a smile.

Monique proceeded to pack her luggage. There had not been much things except for a few pieces of clothing and a bracelet that she hid in the deepest compartment in the closet which took up quite some time for her to retrieve.

"What's that, mommy?" Angel's big pair of eyes blinked out of curiosity.

Monique took a look at the bracelet that her grandfather left for her. It had initially been given to Monique's mother as a wedding gift from Monique's grandfather. Later on, when her mother left the family, the bracelet remained at home and it was then passed on to Monique. "Monique, in the future if you happened to meet your mother, don't be mad at her. In that incident, I bore some responsibility as well. I shouldn't have forced her to marry someone she doesn’t love."

Monique let out a bitter smile as to how she wished she had been able to have expressed her rage to her mother. Unfortunately, none of the family members ever remembered Monique.

Monique had thought of casting the bracelet away once, but she dropped that idea after having thought back that this had been the only thing left from her grandfather she could have held on dearly to, as an item to have reminded her of her grandfather.

In the end, Monique decided to have taken it along with her as she smiled faintly, "This bracelet was given to me by your great-grandfather."

That bracelet had been a beautiful bracelet with carvings of an ancient era, along with gleaming patterns of layered lotus leaves and tiny fishes that looked so lively, having given the bracelet an exquisite impression.
