"Do-Doo… Do-Doo… Sorry, the person you're calling can’t come to the phone right now, please leave a message after the beep." Louise frowned, as no one picked up the call.
She dialed again and heard the same thing.
It was not a mistake that this lady was Monique's sister. What Louise was doubting and finding it hard to believe was whether Monique really asked Yvonne to come forth to get a job in Marriott International.
However, Monique was not answering her call. Louise sighed and gave up as she went ahead and led Yvonne to the personnel department.
When Louise came out from the washroom, Yvonne was nowhere to be seen.
Yvonne was unsatisfied with being led to the washroom by Louise. Without informing Louise, she left the scene.
Yvonne walked to the elevator and met a gentleman in a suit. She asked with a smile, "Can I know the way to the personnel department?"
The gentleman saw Yvonne—a pretty, dolled-up face—approaching him with a friendly demeanor and decided to escort her to the personnel department.
"Who is the manager of the personnel department?" Yvonne quickly asked before the gentleman left.
The gentleman in suits pointed at the office in the personnel department and said, "He’s in there."
Yvonne strode ahead in the direction the gentleman pointed.
However, before she even set foot into the office, a secretary stopped her.
"May I know who you're looking for?" the secretary asked.
Yvonne answered proudly, "I'm here to look for the manager."
"Do you have an appointment with the manager?" The secretary put on a gentle smile.
