Monique exclaimed in shock, “Confiscated?!”
She stared at Henry in disbelief. Was he out of his mind? Who gave him the right to take her things?
All of her identity documents were in that bag, how could he take them away just like that?
Henry looked at her horrified expression and wondered why she was dissatisfied even when he treated her so well.
Henry looked at her and said casually, “I’ve bought you so many bags today. Aren’t those enough? You also have a new phone. Why do you need your old one?”
Monique glared at the man in front of her. This was just ridiculous!
It was his way of telling her ‘out with the old, in with the new’.
She decided to endure. ‘They were just documents’, she told herself.
She tightened her grip around the new phone. She wanted to smash it on Henry’s head. That brat!
However, she could only imagine it in her mind.
She stared at him with her big, round eyes. “Have you transferred my SIM card?”
“Nope, my contact, Mandy’s, and Mrs. Lawson’s phone numbers are registered in this card. You can call them if you need anything.”
Henry glanced at the keys on the table and continued, “Are you done eating? I want to bring you to a place.”
“Not yet!” Monique seethed. She was almost full but she was so furious that her hunger kicked in again.
Monique was so frustrated.
She had no outlet to release her frustrations other than eating.
She grabbed the fork and took a huge portion of cake as if she was stabbing someone, before stuffing it all into her mouth.
