Monique was a little bummed when she heard her reply, “Just a little?”
Angel did not respond to her question. Instead, she stared at Monique's nice clothing and asked, “Where’s daddy? Why is he not here?”
Her mommy looked so pretty in these clothes, elegant and smart. With just one look, she knew that it was definitely bought by daddy.
Mommy would never spend on such expensive items.
Angel evaded her question and asked about that bastard. Monique got angry when she heard Henry being mentioned.
He acted like a gentleman in the morning, buying her clothes and shoes, and even treating her to a nice meal.
Then, he drove her to a residential area and dropped her off at the entrance. When she had her hopes up, he abandoned her and drove off.
What in the world?
Did he intend to insult her on purpose?
It could be his way of showing her that no matter how well he treated her, she was just his lover and he could abandon her anytime he wanted.
Monique lowered her head and stared at Angel’s earnest face with blinking eyes.
When did Henry become more important than her?
Monique frowned and said, “How will I know? He’s not related to you. Why should you bother if he’s here? Mommy’s here for you!” she said sternly.
