Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 266

Monique forced a reply. “Daddy… Daddy had to leave because of an emergency. Let’s head home, shall we?”

Angel pouted. “How are we going home?”

Monique said with a lowered voice, “How about we walk home?”

Angel sniffed and stared at Monique with widened eyes. There were still tear droplets on her thick, long lashes. “Mommy, did you and Daddy fight?”

Monique was stunned. She was totally being bullied by him and had no chance to fight back at all. She took in a deep breath and shook her head while she wiped away Angel’s tears. “No, we didn’t. Why would we fight? Daddy even bought mommy new clothes today.”

Monique pointed at her clothing and felt a sense of guilt creeping in. She had been feeling the same guilt since she agreed to be Henry’s lover.

She had to console herself that Angel was very attached to Henry because she had just gotten a father figure in her life. She would grow out of it after some time.

Also, she would spend less time with Henry after going to kindergarten.

She must find a way to move out from the Moore manor so that they would not see each other so often.

“It’s too far away from home. Why don’t you call Daddy?” Angel stared at Monique with her big eyes.

Monique said awkwardly, “I left my phone in the car too.”

Angel was speechless and rolled her eyes in the cutest way possible. Her mommy was just too absent-minded sometimes.

Monique could hear Angel’s thoughts. She shrugged her shoulders and gave an expression as if she was wronged. It was definitely not what she imagined.

“Stay here and wait for a while.” Angel went back to her usual self that Monique was familiar with.

Monique suddenly remembered something when she saw Angel run toward the kindergarten, “Wait for me, Angel! I’ll go with you.”
