Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 279

The question took Monique by surprise. She forgot her resume!

Her eyebrows knitted into a scowl. She chewed her lips and asked, “I’m so sorry. I forgot the document. Do you have a blank template I can fill in?”

Manager Harper regretted asking the question. The woman was personally hired by the chairman. He did not need to ask her for a resume. She could be the future spouse of the chairman. How could he be so reckless?

However, he knew next to nothing about the woman without a resume.

The silence in the room made Monique’s heart race. She clenched her fist as she was hoping for the worst.

Manager Harper inconspicuously wiped the sweat off his brows and said, “It’s fine. Just fill up this employee induction form.”

Employee induction!

“I’m hired?” A smile tugged at Monique’s lips. Her bright eyes stared hopefully at the man.

“Of course. You can come in anytime,” said Manager Harper as he nodded.

“What will I do then?” Monique was eager to know.

Manager Harper was at a loss. He was hoping she would tell him what position she wanted.

He did not want to offend her by offering a non-managerial position. However, without knowing her background, he was worried that her appointment to a leadership position would affect the effectiveness of the organization.

The public relations department just arranged for her sister’s induction the day before. Was the arrangement unsatisfactory to warrant a visit from Monique?

Would an assistant manager role suffice?

Manager Harper proceeded with caution as he asked, “Would you like an assistant manager role?”

Assistant manager?

Monique was certain she was too inexperienced to be an assistant manager. She declined the offer and said, “No, definitely not. Is there any other position?”
