"Mmmm…" The vibration from the handphone continued. None of them dared move an inch.
Henry turned to face the direction of the vibrating handphone that was next to his desktop. He squinted to take a glimpse and saw Monique's name. Suddenly, those eyebrows that were frowning, relaxed.
"Change the proposal. If you all can't come up with a better proposal, you'll all be fired." Henry's brows were raised as he said with his attractive and low voice. He was giving off a malicious vibe.
The conference came to an end once Henry was done talking.
Henry immediately pressed the answering button on the screen of the vibrating handphone and greeted, "Hey!"
Henry's languid and attractive voice gave off a fatigued mood.
The person on the other end of the call was stunned as a sweet and clear voice was heard, "Angel misses you, she wants to speak to you."
That sweet voice reached the bottom of Henry's heart. It was like raindrops during the spring season. It gave off a soothing sensation.
"Angel misses me? Or do you miss me?" Henry spoke leisurely.
Monique's face turned scarlet as the call was heard on loudspeaker. She then said in a soft and embarrassing tone, "I set the call to loudspeaker and Angel is next to me."
Monique's bashful and soft voice was as a fountain under the blazing sun. It changed Henry's frustrating mood into a delightful one. All the accumulated stress from his work just vanished into thin air.
"Daddy, I miss you!" A smile was seen on Angel's face. Her dimples at both corners of her mouth were prominent too. Her eyes were glittering as though it were embellished with stars.
Henry was surprised to hear Angel's soft voice on the phone. Monique's sweet voice was like streams from the mountains. On the other hand, Angel's voice was that of a radiant sunlight. It was shining into his icy cold heart, giving him a sense of warmth.
Henry choked, "I missed you too."
