"How did they get to know each other?" asked Logan, like an audience in a movie theatre. He smirked, looking curious.
Mandy shook her head, then nodded.
Mandy was unsure whether the time when Monique came to the company to deliver coffee was her first encounter with Henry because Henry seemed shocked when he saw Monique, who spilled coffee, as though Henry had met Monique previously.
Mandy initially thought Monique coming to the company to deliver coffee was her first time meeting Henry, but later on, she felt that the expression that both Henry and Monique had was telling her that they had met way before that incident.
Also, Henry had officially acknowledged Angel as his daughter.
Angel was already five years old, so could they have known each other for that long?
"So, do you know or not?" Stella anxiously asked, seeing Mandy nodding for a second, then shaking it in the next second.
Stella was way more curious about the relationship between Monique and Henry than Logan was. 'How did she come about to be Henry’s chauffeur? Why would she allow Henry to reunite with his daughter? Perhaps she's planning something? Perhaps that's why Henry’s so mad.'
Mandy gave it a serious thought and explained, "It was at this entrance when I first saw her meeting with the chairman. It was about a month ago; that day, Monique came delivering coffee and spilled it while the chairman, who was just done with his meetings, saw her cleaning up the mess on the floor. Very soon, she was summoned to his office. That was when I thought the chairman would punish her, but it turned out that the chairman didn't. He let her leave the company after giving her a change of custom clothes."
Logan smiled, eyes fixed on Mandy, as though he was telling her to go on with the story.
"Within two days, she started coming to the company to work, without going through all the employment procedures. No one called her to report herself to the personnel department. She was hired immediately to be the chairman's chauffeur. Also, she's always with her daughter whenever she is working, the girl named Angel Xander. Since the beginning, the chairman had taken a liking to that little girl. I've only just learned in these two days that she’s the chairman's daughter," Mandy said faintly, shrugging. "That's all that I know."
Since Miss Graham was present, Mandy decided not to mention the fact that Monique was staying at Moore Manor.
"That's all?" Logan frowned, looking like he had not had enough of the story. To be precise, it was as though Logan did not hear the story that he wanted.
